Our Firm History
For over 30 years, D.K. Wilson CPA, PC has provided professional accounting services to the Metro-Atlanta area and beyond. Our president and owner, David Wilson, CPA started our firm in 1984 in Marietta, Georgia after working seven years in both public and industry accounting. In 1987, Mr. Wilson purchased the practice Charles W. Emerson, CPA, P.C., a firm that had operated in the community since the 1950’s. In 1992, he added additional clients by purchasing another small Smyrna based practice. Then, 1994 saw the largest growth to date with the purchase of the firm, Shelby E. Chambers, CPA, P.C., effectively doubling our client base and staff. Since then, the company’s well established client base has grown significantly and consistently because of our commitment to honesty, integrity, and our reputation for expertise in the small business community. Mr. Wilson is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, and the state CPA Societies in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.
